Dubai and Seychelles

When the World Shifts Overnight

Hi Bluet Community,

Every now and then, life hands us a moment that reminds us just how quickly the world can change. This weekend was one of those moments.

As many of you know, I was preparing to lead an international retreat. On Friday night, our group gathered for a meeting, and most of us were still planning to continue with our travel plans — first to Dubai, then onward to the Seychelles. Everything was set, bags were packed, and we were scheduled to leave Sunday morning.

Then we woke up on Saturday to the news of the U.S. strike on Iran and the immediate ripple effects across the region, including Dubai. In a single morning, the entire landscape shifted. What had been a joyful countdown to a long‑awaited adventure became a moment of pause, reflection, and perspective. Instead of boarding a plane, I found myself sitting in gratitude — grateful to be home, grateful to be safe, and grateful to be surrounded by the people I love.

My heart is also with my business partner, Hadar Gat, who is currently in a bomb shelter in Israel. Many of you have met her over the years — her warmth, her strength, her kindness. Her family and friends are living through fear and uncertainty right now, and I am holding them close in my thoughts and prayers. Moments like this remind me how blessed we are to have shelter, peace, and the protection of our higher powers.

Over the years, so many of you have traveled with me — across lakes, across states, and across oceans. We’ve shared sunrises, challenges, laughter, and the kind of connection that only comes from stepping into the world together. Your support, trust, and commitment have shaped this community into something truly special.

This weekend reminded me of something simple but powerful: sometimes life asks us to pause. Not because we want to, but because the world shifts, and we must shift with it. Safety, perspective, and gratitude become the compass.

I’m holding space for the disappointment of postponed adventures, but I’m also holding deep appreciation for this community. Your messages, your presence, and your shared spirit of resilience mean more than I can express.

This isn’t an ending. It’s simply a pause — unexpected, humbling, and full of perspective.

Thank you for being part of the Bluet family. Thank you for your strength, your kindness, and your continued presence on this journey. I’m looking forward to calmer days ahead and to the adventures still waiting for us.

With appreciation and sincerity,

~Juliet Urushima
